What to Wear to Bellydance Class

To help you feel comfortable and move freely during class, please follow these simple clothing guidelines:


  • Leggings or fitted dance pants

Choose stretchy leggings that allow you to move easily. Avoid wide or loose pants so your hip movements are clearly visible.


  • Hip scarf


You’re welcome to wear a hip scarf of any style. It can be with coins or without—both are perfect! The scarf helps you feel your hip accents and adds a bit of fun to your practice.


  • T-shirt or short top

Wear a comfortable fitted T-shirt, crop top, or short dance top. Fitted tops help with posture awareness and let the instructor see your movements clearly.



Optional but helpful:


-Bare feet or soft dance slippers

-No long skirts for beginner technique classes (so your hips stay visible)
